absence of light
oppressive blackness
opaque air
the only things visible
warms tears
cold sweat
clothes plastered to his body
the only physical feelings
his nerves numb even to his own touch
he had been running
now he is stopped
his feet will not move
he finally understands he is alone
still, he screams for someone to help
the blackness swallows the sound
before it even has time to reach his own ears
he can’t know where to go
no one to follow, to show him the way
no light to remove the fear
no touch to feel, to remind him he is not dead
no comforting voice to listen to
the loneliness crushes him down
with no where to go, no one to help
he can only scream quietly
